Backend Developer – PHP/Symfony (English Vacancy)

Your role as Backend Developer

As a Backend Developer, you’ll work on the core of the MrWork platform. You’ll help build, maintain and improve backend components in a modern tech stack. You’ll collaborate with frontend developers, QA, AI engineers and product owners to bring impactful features to life.

Your tasks & responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable PHP applications using Symfony
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrations with external systems
• Optimize backend performance, scalability and security
• Troubleshoot bugs and resolve technical bottlenecks
• Contribute to architecture decisions and apply best practices (e.g. DDD)
• Work with Docker, CI/CD pipelines and a structured OTAP environment 

Your qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a PHP Developer
• Deep knowledge of PHP, Symfony, OOP, SOLID and design patterns
• Experience building REST APIs and working with Docker
• Interest in Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Familiarity with tools like GitHub Copilot or Cursor
• Strong communication skills in English
• A collaborative, pragmatic and self-directed mindset

Bonus if you have experience with

• API Platform
• PHPStan or other static analysis tools
• DevOps and CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or GitLab
• AWS services (ECS, RDS, ECR, S3)

Your new homebase
